| Why should I have my HDTV calibrated? |

When your HDTV ships, it comes in "torch" mode, which means the brightness is turned way up. They do this in case they use it on the show room floor. When 10 products are lined up, usually the brightest one will catch your eye. When you get your HDTV home, the brightness level will be too high for your house. The brightness can also shorten your TV life span. |

| Why don't TV manufacturers properly calibrate their displays at the factory? |
Manufacturers adjust their displays to stand out in store showrooms and to differentiate themselves from their competition. Since most people have never seen a display that adheres to system standards they really do not know the full performance capability of their new HDTV. |
| Is a professional calibration needed if I've already used a test disc? |
Using a test disc is a good first step to improve a display's picture. Many still find the process difficult or confusing since most displays have hidden parameters which are unavailable without the proper equipment and skill. TropiCalibration has been certified by the ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) and has the technical knowledge and testing equipment necessary to calibrate using this extended factory service menu. A professional TropiCalibration enhancement is your best option to achive the finest picture. |
| Does TropiCalibration guarantee their work? |
In the unlikely event that a display needs servicing within 30 days after being calibrated, TropiCalibration will perform a free re-calibration. |
| How long will the HDTVcalibration last? |
All displays will drift from their calibrated state over a period of time. How much and how quickly that occurs varies from the type of display and how often it is used. Periodic touchups are recommended to sustain the accuracy of the initial calibration. We suggest doing so every 1000 hours (about once a year with normal viewing). Re-calibrations are offered at $175.00. |

If you already have or have recently purchased a surround sound speaker AV receiver system, at TropiCalibration we can ensure, through the use of our audio calibration equipment and signal generators, that you are achieving proper surround sound when watching movies in DVD, or HD format. We check inputs from satellite receivers, DVD, Blu-ray and HD-DVD players for digital setup and calibrate all the speakers in your surround setup, maximizing your listening experience.
